Course Overview

This 32 km mountain course starts from Guinsa, the grand headquarters of the Cheontae Buddhist Order, and follows the foothills of Sobaeksan National Park. Guinsa features a unique layout of massive temple halls stacked in a deep valley, making it one of Korea's most impressive temple complexes.

Sobaeksan National Park is famed for royal azaleas (May-June) and autumn foliage (October). Birobong Peak (1,439 m) is Chungbuk's highest point. Combining the drive with Sobaeksan hiking makes for a full day trip.
