Course Overview
The Jincheon Nongdari to Botapsa Drive covers approximately 35 km from the thousand-year-old Nongdari stone bridge, along the shores of Chopyeong Lake, to the remarkable three-story wooden pagoda of Botapsa Temple built entirely without nails. As the old saying "Saengeo Jincheon" (Jincheon is a good place to live) suggests, this county offers peaceful rural charm.
Nongdari is Korea's oldest stone bridge, spanning 93.6 meters with 28 piers made of natural stone from the Goryeo dynasty. The lakeside roads around Chopyeong Lake provide relaxed driving, and Botapsa showcases the pinnacle of traditional Korean architecture.

Section 1: Nongdari to Chopyeong Lake (approx. 12 km)
After exploring the thousand-year-old stone bridge and its walking trail, head toward Chopyeong Lake, where calm waters meet surrounding mountain scenery.
Section 2: Chopyeong Lake to Korean Peninsula Viewpoint (approx. 10 km)
Driving along the lakeshore reveals a landform resembling the Korean Peninsula. The observation park offers a clear view of this natural formation.
Section 3: Korean Peninsula Viewpoint to Botapsa (approx. 13 km)
The final section leads to Botapsa Temple at the foot of Manroe Mountain. The three-story wooden pagoda, built entirely without nails using traditional methods, is a masterpiece of restored traditional architecture.
