Course Overview
Magoksa Temple, nestled at Mt. Taehwasan, is a Baekje-era temple inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage in 2018 under "Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea." Cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage blend with the serene temple atmosphere year-round.
The mountain road from Magoksa to Geumgang Natural Recreation Forest features dense forest tunnels that make the drive itself therapeutic.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Magoksa Temple (approx. 8 km)
Walk from the parking lot to explore the Main Hall, five-story pagoda, and Yeongsanjeon Hall.
Section 2: Magoksa to Geumgang Forest (approx. 10 km)
Follow mountain roads through Mt. Taehwasan's lush forests.
Section 3: Geumgang Recreation Forest (approx. 7 km)
Enjoy walks and forest bathing at the recreation forest.
