Course Overview
A 20 km loop drive through the highland city of Taebaek at 600-700m elevation. Start at Taebaeksan Danggol Plaza, visit the Coal Museum, pass through Taebaek Market, and end at Hwangji Pond.
Winter brings snow flower festival drives (Jan-Feb), while summer's cool temperatures make it a perfect escape.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Danggol Plaza to Coal Museum (approx. 8 km)
From Taebaeksan's entrance to the Coal Museum chronicling mining history.
Section 2: Coal Museum to Taebaek Market (approx. 6 km)
Cut through the city for yeontan bulgogi and hanwoo rice soup at Taebaek Market.
Section 3: Taebaek Market to Hwangji Pond (approx. 6 km)
End with a stroll around the Nakdong River source at Hwangji Pond.
