Course Overview
Jinhae is home to Korea's largest cherry blossom festival, the Jinhae Gunhangje, held annually from late March to early April. With approximately 360,000 cherry trees planted throughout the city, the entire town turns pink in spring.
This route connects Jinhae's key cherry blossom spots from Yeojwacheon Romance Bridge through the Freshwater Environment Ecology Park to Gyeonghwa Station. Yeojwacheon is famous as the filming location of the drama "Romance," while Gyeonghwa Station is an Instagram-worthy spot with rails running through cherry blossoms.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Yeojwacheon Romance Bridge to Ecology Park (approx. 6 km)
Start at the cherry blossom promenade along Yeojwacheon. Take photos at the Romance Bridge, then enjoy waterfront cherry blossoms at the Ecology Park.
Section 2: Ecology Park to Gyeonghwa Station (approx. 7 km)
Drive through Jinhae's streets lined with cherry blossoms. At Gyeonghwa Station, take iconic photos on the unused railway tracks amid blossoms.
Section 3: Gyeonghwa Station to Naval Academy (approx. 5 km)
Head down toward Jinhae Bay past the Naval Academy's cherry blossom street. During the Gunhangje, the Naval Academy opens for public tours.
