Course Overview
Goseong is one of the world's three major dinosaur footprint fossil sites, where you can see actual footprints carved into coastal rocks. This route drives from Sangjogam Park's fossil site to the Danghangpo tourist area.
Sangjogam features unique table-leg-shaped rock formations, with coastal walking trails for fossil observation. Danghangpo, a victory site of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, combines a history park with family-friendly attractions.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Sangjogam Dinosaur Footprint Fossils (approx. 5 km)
Follow coastal walking trails from Sangjogam Park to observe dinosaur footprint fossils. Some fossils submerge at high tide, so check tide tables.
Section 2: Sangjogam to Dinosaur Museum (approx. 8 km)
Drive the coastal road to the Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo permanent hall. Features dinosaur models and interactive exhibits for children.
Section 3: Dinosaur Museum to Danghangpo (approx. 9 km)
Arrive at Danghangpo tourist area. Tour the history park commemorating Admiral Yi Sun-sin's Danghangpo naval battle.
Driving Tips
- Dinosaur footprints are best observed at low tide (check tide charts)
- Dinosaur Museum admission: 3,000 KRW adults, 1,500 KRW children
