Course Overview
This unique drive follows the roads alongside Jeju Olle Walking Trail Routes 6 through 8, offering a full loop of Seogwipo's southern coastline by car. Even those who cannot walk the trails can enjoy the Olle scenery from the comfort of their vehicle.
The route connects Seogwipo's key landmarks: the solitary Oedolgae Rock, the cliffside walkway behind Seogwipo KAL Hotel, and the illuminated Saeyeon Bridge.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Oedolgae to Seogwipo Port (approx. 10km)
Start at Oedolgae, Seogwipo's iconic 20m-tall rock column standing alone in the sea. Follow the coastal road to Seogwipo Port, where you can see Saeyeon Bridge (pedestrians only).
Section 2: Seogwipo Coast to Jungmun (approx. 12km)
Drive from Seogwipo Port toward Jungmun, passing Gangjeong Port. The coastal road reveals ever-changing moods of Jeju's southern sea.
Section 3: Donnaeko to Namwon (approx. 8km)
Detour briefly inland to visit Donnaeko Valley, a crystal-clear stream flowing from Hallasan, before heading toward Namwon.
Driving Tips
- Oedolgae: Free admission and free parking; starting point of Olle Route 7
- Saeyeon Bridge: A pedestrian bridge connecting Seogwipo Port to Saeseom; beautiful at night
- Donnaeko: A popular summer swimming spot; limited parking
- Cafes: Many hidden cafes along the Seogwipo coastal road
- Spring: The cherry blossom season (late March to early April) transforms the coastal road
