Course Overview
This drive explores the core of the UNESCO World Heritage Baekje Historic Areas. King Muryeong's Tomb, discovered intact and unlooted in 1971, is considered a treasure trove of Baekje culture.
From Songsan-ri Burial Mounds through Gongju National Museum to Gongsanseong Fortress, this compact course offers deep immersion in Baekje's brilliant culture. Cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage along Gongsanseong's Geumgang riverside trails are particularly beautiful.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Songsan-ri Burial Mounds (approx. 3 km)
Visit King Muryeong's Tomb and the replica exhibition hall recreating the excavation site.
Section 2: Burial Mounds to National Museum (approx. 7 km)
Museum displaying excavated treasures including gold crown ornaments and earrings.
Section 3: Museum to Gongsanseong (approx. 10 km)
Walk the Baekje mountain fortress along the Geumgang River, reflecting on the kingdom's last capital.
