Course Overview
This drive connects an important Korean Catholic site with the stunning scenery of Chungjuho (Cheongpungho) Lake. Baeron Holy Ground is where Korea's first seminary (Saint Joseph Seminary) was established in 1855, hidden in a deep valley to escape persecution.
Driving to Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex reveals an outdoor museum of cultural properties relocated from villages submerged by Chungju Dam. The emerald lake against dramatic rock cliffs is Korea's hidden gem.
