Course Overview
This 28 km date course connects Sejong City and Cheongju. Sejong Lake Park is the flagship park of Sejong City, with walking trails, bike paths, and a waterfront stage surrounding a large lake.
Midongsan Arboretum, operated by the Chungbuk Forest Research Institute, houses approximately 1,500 plant species across themed gardens. Spring brings wildflowers, summer hydrangeas, and autumn foliage. Its proximity to downtown Cheongju makes it an easy day trip.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Sejong Lake Park (approx. 5 km)
Walk or cycle around the lake. Lakeside cafes offer pleasant coffee breaks.
Section 2: Sejong to Cheongju Transfer (approx. 15 km)
Drive along Route 17 through peaceful landscapes of fields and low hills.
Section 3: Midongsan Arboretum (approx. 8 km)
Explore themed gardens including a tropical greenhouse, wildflower garden, and dense forest trails.
