Course Overview

The Danyang Dodamsambong to Guinsa Drive covers approximately 48 km from the iconic three-peaked island of Dodamsambong on the Namhan River, through the Seonam Valley road (Route 59) past the lower, middle, and upper Seonam rock formations, over the winding Bobaljae pass, to Guinsa Temple nestled in a lotus-shaped valley beneath Sobaeksan Mountain.

The Eight Views of Danyang are scenic wonders along the Namhan River, several of which can be enjoyed from the car on this route. Bobaljae (540 m elevation) offers an exhilarating winding drive between Gagok-myeon and Yeongchun-myeon, with a summit observatory for panoramic views. Guinsa, though founded after Korean independence, is one of the country's largest temple complexes as the headquarters of the Cheontae Buddhist order.
