Course Overview

The Jeungpyeong Jwagusan Healing Drive is an approximately 18 km route from Jeungpyeong-eup through the Jwagusan (657 m) Natural Recreation Forest to the Belforet Media Art Center. Despite being Korea's smallest county, Jeungpyeong offers the Jwagusan Cloud Bridge, an astronomical observatory, and immersive media art exhibitions.

The Jwagusan Cloud Bridge spans 230 meters at a height of 50 meters across a deep gorge, providing both thrills and panoramic forest views. Visiting during the Jeungpyeong Ginseng Festival adds traditional experiences to the trip.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Jeungpyeong-eup to Jwagusan Forest (approx. 8 km)

Leaving town toward Jwagusan, dense forest gradually envelops the road. The forest-scented mountain road begins at the recreation forest entrance.

Section 2: Cloud Bridge to Observatory (approx. 4 km)

Walk 230 meters above the gorge on the Cloud Bridge for stunning forest panoramas. The nearby Jwagusan Observatory offers solar observation by day and stargazing by night.

Section 3: Jwagusan to Belforet Media Art Center (approx. 6 km)

Descending from Jwagusan, the route ends at the Belforet Media Art Center in Jeungpyeong-eup, where immersive digital art exhibitions await.
