Course Overview

Asan is the hometown of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and a city famous for hot springs. This course runs from Hyeonchungsa Shrine through Oeam Folk Village to the Asan hot spring district.

Hyeonchungsa enshrines Admiral Yi's portrait, with a well-preserved historic residence and gardens on its spacious grounds. Oeam Folk Village preserves 500 years of traditional architecture from the Yean Yi clan community.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Hyeonchungsa to Oeam Folk Village (approx. 12 km)

Tour Hyeonchungsa's grounds, then visit Oeam Folk Village with its stone walls and thatched-roof traditional Korean houses.

Section 2: Oeam Folk Village to Sinjeongho (approx. 10 km)

Drive through Asan city to Sinjeongho Lake Park. Walk the lakeside trail or relax at a lakefront cafe.

Section 3: Sinjeongho to Onyang Hot Springs (approx. 8 km)

Head from Sinjeongho to the Onyang Hot Springs district to end with a thermal bath. Onyang Hot Springs has 600 years of history as a royal bath.
