Course Overview
The Boryeong coastal drive starts at Daecheon Beach, the west coast's largest, and runs through Nampo Seawall to Muchangpo Beach. Enjoy the classic west coast scenery of blue seas, pine forests, and tidal flats.
Muchangpo Beach is famous for its "Moses' Miracle" — at low tide, the sea parts to reveal a 1.5 km path you can walk to Seokdae Island.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Daecheon Beach to Jukdo (approx. 10 km)
Leave Daecheon's wide sandy beach behind and cruise the straight road along Nampo Seawall. Catch the sunset at Jukdo Observatory.
Section 2: Jukdo to Muchangpo (approx. 10 km)
Follow Route 606 through pine forests with sea glimpses. A peaceful countryside stretch.
Section 3: Muchangpo to Boryeong Undersea Tunnel (approx. 8 km)
Experience the miraculous sea path at Muchangpo, then cross to Anmyeondo via Korea's longest undersea tunnel (6.9 km).
Driving Tips
- Check tide schedules before visiting Muchangpo's sea path
- Expect heavy traffic around Daecheon during the Boryeong Mud Festival in July

- Boryeong Undersea Tunnel is toll-free (opened 2023)
