Course Overview
Sudeoksa Temple in Yesan is famous for its main hall (National Treasure), influenced by Baekje architecture. The pine-lined approach road to the temple at the foot of Mt. Deoksungsan makes the drive itself enjoyable.
Yedang Reservoir (Yedangho) is Chungnam's largest, recently gaining popularity with its new suspension bridge and waterside decks. Autumn foliage around the lake is spectacular.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Sudeoksa Approach (approx. 10 km)
Drive through the pine tree-lined avenue to Sudeoksa. The main hall is a masterpiece of Goryeo wooden architecture.
Section 2: Sudeoksa to Yedang Reservoir (approx. 12 km)
From Sudeoksa through Yesan town to Yedang Reservoir.
Section 3: Yedang Reservoir Suspension Bridge (approx. 8 km)
Walk Korea's longest suspension bridge (402m) while enjoying lake scenery.
