Course Overview

Cheorwon, adjacent to the DMZ, is an ecological treasure where cranes winter and a security tourism site with division relics. This 30 km course runs from the crane observatory to the Workers' Party Building and Baengmagoji Battle Monument.

The Workers' Party Building, used by North Korea's Workers' Party before the Korean War, still bears bullet holes as testimony to the war's devastation.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Crane Observatory (approx. 5 km)

Hundreds of cranes winter on Cheorwon Plain; observe through telescopes.

Section 2: Observatory to Workers' Party Building (approx. 12 km)

Cross the vast Cheorwon Plain to reach the Workers' Party Building in old Cheorwon.

Section 3: Workers' Party Building to Baengmagoji (approx. 13 km)

Reflect on history at the Baengmagoji Battle Monument, a fierce Korean War battlefield.
