Course Overview
Spring in Chuncheon begins with cherry blossoms blooming along the Bukhan River. This approximately 25 km course starts from Gongjicheon in central Chuncheon and follows the riverside cherry blossom road toward Nami Island.
In mid-April, cherry blossoms form tunnels along both sides of the river, with their reflections on the lake creating a dreamy atmosphere.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Gongjicheon to Uiam Lake (approx. 8 km)
Start at Gongjicheon Sculpture Park and drive along the Uiam Lake shore.
Section 2: Uiam Lake to Gangchon (approx. 10 km)
Head south along the Bukhan River through continuous cherry blossom-lined roads.
Section 3: Gangchon to Nami Island Wharf (approx. 7 km)
Pass Gangchon Station area and end at the Nami Island ferry terminal.
Driving Tips
- Cherry blossom peak: around April 10-20 (varies by weather)
- Nami Island admission: 16,000 KRW (includes ferry)
- Combine with Chuncheon dakgalbi and makguksu for a gourmet course
- Use Route 46 as bypass during weekend congestion
