Course Overview
Hoengseong is the home of Korean beef, where the Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival is held. This approximately 35 km course runs from Hoengseong-eup through Anheung-myeon's steamed bun village to Cheongtaesan Natural Recreation Forest.
Anheung steamed buns originated from war refugees during the Korean War and have become Hoengseong's signature snack. Cheongtaesan Natural Recreation Forest sits on an 850m plateau, featuring Japanese cypress forest trails for therapeutic walks.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Hoengseong-eup to Anheung-myeon (approx. 15 km)
Follow Route 42 to Anheung-myeon. Taste freshly steamed buns at Anheung Jjinppang Village.
Section 2: Anheung-myeon to Dunnae-myeon (approx. 10 km)
A highland section with visible wind turbines. Refreshing breezes and open panoramas.
Section 3: Dunnae-myeon to Cheongtaesan (approx. 10 km)
Climb mountain roads to Cheongtaesan Natural Recreation Forest. Enjoy forest bathing in the cypress woods.
