Course Overview

The road to Woljeongsa Temple in Odaesan begins with a 1 km fir tree forest trail. The green tunnel formed by centuries-old fir trees blocking the sky is considered "Korea's Most Beautiful Forest Road."

Woljeongsa, founded by Master Jajang during Queen Seondeok of Silla, houses the Octagonal Nine-Story Pagoda (National Treasure). Beautiful in all seasons, the winter snow scene is particularly impressive.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Odaesan Entrance to Fir Forest (approx. 8 km)

Enter from the national park entrance toward Woljeongsa. Forest bathing in the fir tree tunnel.

Section 2: Fir Forest to Woljeongsa (approx. 5 km)

Visit the Octagonal Nine-Story Pagoda and Jeongmyeol Bogung at the thousand-year-old temple.

Section 3: Woljeongsa to Sangwonsa (approx. 7 km)

Continue on mountain roads to Sangwonsa, famous for its Dong Bell (National Treasure).
