Course Overview

The Samcheok Millennium Coastal Road (Isabu-gil), opened in 2000, is a 4.6 km coastal road connecting Samcheok Port to Samcheok Beach. Named one of Korea's 100 Most Beautiful Roads, it features stunning granite cliff scenery complemented by a million pine trees.

Including nearby coastal attractions, the full course spans about 15 km, offering Jangho Port's emerald waters and transparent canoe experiences, plus the Samcheok Sea Cable Car.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Samcheok Port to Millennium Coastal Road (approx. 5 km)

The core section running along coastal cliffs from Samcheok Port. Unique rock formations and deep blue East Sea waters unfold on the right.

Section 2: Millennium Coastal Road to Jangho Port (approx. 10 km)

Head south along the coast to reach Jangho Port, where transparent canoe experiences are available on the emerald-clear waters.

Driving Tips

  • Combine with the Samcheok Sea Cable Car (approx. 20 min round trip)
  • Advance reservations required for Jangho Port transparent canoe (peak summer)
  • Some sections may close during high winter waves
