Course Overview

The Gyeongju Bomun to Bulguksa Historic Drive is an approximately 25 km route starting from the resort area around Bomun Lake and climbing to Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto on the slopes of Tohamsan Mountain. This route showcases the core heritage of Gyeongju, the thousand-year capital of the Silla Dynasty.

Cherry blossoms encircle Bomun Lake in spring, while autumn foliage at Bulguksa creates stunning contrasts against the temple's tile roofs. The route can be extended to include downtown Gyeongju's Daereungwon Royal Tombs, Cheomseongdae Observatory, and Hwangnidan-gil for a full day.
