Course Overview
Drive through pastoral scenery along the Nakdong River cycling path area, then continue to Gwallyongsa Temple on Hwawangsan's slopes. Gwallyongsa, founded during the Unified Silla period, is famous for its Stone Seated Buddha (Treasure) and Yongseondae (Scenic Site).
Spring brings riverside canola, autumn offers cosmos and silver grass in peaceful rural landscapes.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Nakdong Riverside to Rural Villages (approx. 10 km)
Drive along riverside embankments with wide fields and seasonal flowers.
Section 2: Rural Villages to Gwallyongsa (approx. 10 km)
Climb toward Hwawangsan to reach Gwallyongsa. View the Stone Seated Buddha and Yongseondae.
Driving Tips
- Gwallyongsa admission: 2,000 KRW for adults
- Yongseondae is a 20-minute walk from Gwallyongsa (steep path)
- Spring canola (April) and autumn cosmos (October) seasons recommended
- Changnyeong onion bread is a local bakery specialty
