Course Overview

Geochang's Suseungdae (Scenic Site No. 53) features dramatic rock cliffs and old pines along the Wicheon Valley, a beauty spot since the Joseon Dynasty. This route runs from Suseungdae through Gamaksan's foothills, enjoying mountains and valleys.

Summer offers cool valley streams, while autumn brings vivid Gamaksan foliage. Geochang is famous for apples, and in fall you drive past orchards of ripe red fruit. Visit during the Geochang International Theatre Festival (summer) for cultural events too.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Suseungdae Tourist Area (approx. 5 km)

Admire Wicheon Valley's rock cliffs and pine forests. Cross the suspension bridge for valley views below.

Section 2: Suseungdae to Gamaksan Access Road (approx. 10 km)

Drive through rural villages and apple orchards toward Gamaksan. The scenery shifts as mountains grow taller.

Section 3: Gamaksan Drive (approx. 7 km)

Drive along Gamaksan's forest roads amid valleys and woods. Autumn foliage season is especially beautiful.
