Course Overview
Jinyangho is an artificial lake created by Namgang Dam, with beautiful lakeside driving roads. After viewing the entire lake from Jinyangho Observatory, this green drive continues to Gyeongnam Arboretum.
Gyeongnam Arboretum spans 120 hectares with over 3,400 plant species, representing the southern region's premier botanical garden. Spring brings azaleas, summer hydrangeas, and autumn foliage.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Jinyangho Observatory to Lakeside Road (approx. 8 km)
View the lake from the observatory, then drive along the scenic lakeside.
Section 2: Lakeside Road to Gyeongnam Arboretum (approx. 10 km)
Leave Jinyangho and drive country roads to the arboretum.
Driving Tips
- Jinyangho Observatory admission is free
- Gyeongnam Arboretum admission: 1,500 KRW adults (closed Mondays)
- Best in spring azalea (April) and autumn foliage (October-November)
- Dine at restaurants near Jinju Innovation City before departing
