Course Overview
Drive along the mid-mountain roads (200-400m elevation) of Seogwipo, surrounded by endless tangerine orchards on both sides. From October through February, the orchards glow orange during harvest season, offering an experience unique to Jeju.
Pick tangerines at experience farms, sample tangerine juice and desserts at themed cafes, and soak in Jeju's rural landscape at a leisurely pace. This course is especially recommended for families.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Seogwipo City to Hyodon (approx. 7km)
Head up the mid-mountain road toward Hyodon. Tangerine orchards begin to appear on both sides, and in autumn the orange-laden trees create a beautiful scene.
Section 2: Hyodon to Namwon Tangerine Experience (approx. 6km)
This section is dense with tangerine experience farms where you can pick and taste tangerines (5,000-10,000 KRW per person). Try varieties like hallabong and cheonhyehyang.
Section 3: Namwon to Wimi Tangerine Village (approx. 6km)
End at Wimi-ri Tangerine Village, home to a tangerine museum and cafes. In winter, tangerines and camellia flowers create a uniquely beautiful scene together.
Driving Tips
- Best season: October to February (tangerine harvest season)
- Farm experience: Prices and varieties differ by farm; check in advance
- Hallabong: Harvested December-February; larger and sweeter than regular tangerines
- Cafes: Tangerine-themed dessert cafes are scattered throughout the area
- Buying tip: Purchase directly from farms for lower prices than retail
