Course Overview
This approximately 25 km drive starts from Geumsansa Temple, founded in 599 AD, home to the National Treasure Mireukjeon, Korea's only three-story Buddhist hall. The route climbs through Moaksan Provincial Park (793 m) with summit views of Gimje's horizon-reaching plains.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Geumsansa Approach (approx. 5 km)
Beautiful cherry/maple-lined approach with multiple cultural treasures including Mireukjeon.
Section 2: Mountainside Drive (approx. 12 km)
Climb through diverse vegetation with viewpoints overlooking Gimje plains.
Section 3: Moaksan Summit Area (approx. 8 km)
Panoramic views of the Gimje plains stretching to the horizon.
