Course Overview
This approximately 20 km drive starts at the Joseon-era Gochangeupseong Fortress and ends at Hagwon Farm, a million-pyeong farm where buckwheat flowers and cosmos bloom simultaneously in autumn, creating waves of white and pink.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Gochangeupseong (approx. 5 km)
Walk the stone fortress walls with town views. Annual fortress walking festival on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month.
Section 2: Town to Farm Approach (approx. 8 km)
Wide open fields on the way to the farm.
Section 3: Hagwon Farm (approx. 7 km)
Drive slowly through the vast flower fields of buckwheat and cosmos.
Driving Tips
- Buckwheat flowers: mid-September to early October / Cosmos: early to mid-October
- Hagwon Farm: free admission
- Visit on weekdays to avoid crowds
- Try bokbunja wine and grilled eel
