Course Overview
This approximately 28 km coastal drive follows Gochang's West Coast along National Route 77, known as the 'Gochang Sunset Coast Road,' considered one of Korea's finest sunset drives.
Tidal flats and beaches alternate along the coast, with the red sunset reflected on the mudflats creating a magnificent scene. The Gochang Tidal Flat is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Gusipo Beach to Myeongsasimni (approx. 10 km)
Start from Gusipo's wide sandy beach and follow the coast to Myeongsasimni, a stretch of sand spanning 10 ri (about 4 km).
Section 2: Mudflat Zone (approx. 10 km)
UNESCO World Heritage Gochang Tidal Flat section. Clam digging is available during low tide.
Section 3: To Dongho Beach (approx. 8 km)
Dongho Beach offers premium sunset views, backed by a picturesque pine forest.
