Course Overview
This 15 km urban drive starts from Yangnim-dong, rich in modern cultural heritage, and continues to the Asia Culture Center (ACC). Yangnim-dong was settled by Western missionaries during Korea's modernization, now blending historic architecture with trendy alley cafes.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Yangnim-dong Village (approx. 5 km)
Stroll through alleys to see modern architecture and murals, resting at atmospheric cafes.
Section 2: Yangnim to Sajik Park to ACC (approx. 10 km)
View Gwangju's cityscape from Sajik Park observatory, then continue to ACC.
Driving Tips
- Many alleys in Yangnim-dong are too narrow for vehicles; park nearby and walk
- ACC admission is free (special exhibitions extra)
- Penguin Village in Yangnim-dong features impressive recycled art photo zones
