Course Overview
A 25 km drive from Baegyangsa, one of Jeonnam's top three autumn foliage sites, to Chungnyeongsan's cypress and cedar forest. The harmony of Baegyangsa's Ssanggyeru Pavilion with autumn maples is nationally renowned.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Baegyangsa (approx. 8 km)
The approach road to Ssanggyeru Pavilion. Autumn maples reflected in the pond are legendary.
Section 2: Temple to Cypress Forest (approx. 17 km)
To Chungnyeongsan's forest of 270,000 cypress trees aged 40-50 years.
Driving Tips
- Baegyangsa admission: 3,000 KRW
- Chungnyeongsan cypress forest is free admission
- Peak foliage: early to mid-November
- Jangseong samgyetang is a local specialty
