Course Overview

Namhansanseong, a Joseon dynasty mountain fortress, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. This 25 km course circles the fortress walls before descending to Paldang Lake.

The fortress walls offer panoramic views of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The fortress village is famous for its tofu cuisine. Riverside cafes at Paldang provide a relaxing conclusion.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Namhansanseong Loop (approx. 10 km)

Circle the fortress wall road with views of Seoul and Gyeonggi.

Section 2: Namhansanseong to Paldang Lake (approx. 15 km)

Descend from the fortress to the lakeside.

Driving Tips

  • Parking at South and North gate lots (paid)
  • Try the fortress village tofu dishes
