Course Overview
The Bukhan River area around Joan-myeon in Namyangju is known as the capital region's best cafe drive course. Stylish cafes line the river, offering combined driving and cafe-hopping experiences.
Just 30 minutes from Seoul, the joy of this course is sipping coffee on a riverside terrace while watching the gentle Bukhan River flow. Cherry blossoms in spring and foliage in autumn enhance the cafe atmosphere.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Paldang Dam to Neungnae Station (approx. 8 km)
Start from Paldang Dam to the decommissioned Neungnae Station. River-view cafes cluster here.
Section 2: Neungnae Station to Joan-myeon (approx. 8 km)
The core cafe zone along the Bukhan River with the most famous establishments.
Section 3: Joan-myeon to Ungilsan Station (approx. 6 km)
End at cafes near Ungilsan Station, with optional hikes toward Sujongsa Temple.
Driving Tips
- Weekend afternoon parking near cafes is challenging
- Paldang dakbokkeum-tang street is nearby
- Watch for cyclists on the shared road between Neungnae and Joan
- Expect road congestion during cherry blossom season
