Damyang is a healing city in Jeonnam known for its metasequoia tree-lined road and Juknokwon (bamboo forest). Recently, atmospheric cafes have sprung up near both attractions, making it a popular cafe drive destination.

This 20 km drive goes from the metasequoia road through Juknokwon and Soswaewon Garden to Damyangho Lake.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Metasequoia Road and Cafes (approx. 5 km)

The 2 km metasequoia tree-lined road is beautiful in all seasons. Large cafes and bakeries nearby offer tree tunnel views with coffee.

Section 2: Juknokwon and Bamboo Cafes (approx. 8 km)

Juknokwon's 310,000 m2 bamboo forest is perfect for a walk, followed by bamboo-themed drinks at nearby concept cafes.

Section 3: Soswaewon to Damyangho Cafes (approx. 7 km)

Visit Korea's representative traditional garden Soswaewon, then finish at lakeside cafes around Damyangho with mountain reflections in the lake.
