Course Overview

Hongcheon, alongside Hoengseong, is one of Gangwon's two major Hanwoo regions. Hongcheon Hanwoo is known for tender meat from cattle raised in pristine nature, with relatively better value than Hoengseong.

This 25 km drive starts from Hongcheon's Hanwoo restaurant district, passes Sutasa Temple, and follows the Hongcheongang River.

Section Highlights

Section 1: Hongcheon Hanwoo Restaurant District (approx. 5 km)

Charcoal-grilled Hanwoo sirloin and ribs at Hongcheon's specialty restaurants, offering great value.

Section 2: Sutasa Valley (approx. 10 km)

After feasting, head to Sutasa Temple, a Silla-era temple with a crystal-clear valley stream. Summer valley water play is popular.

Section 3: Hongcheongang Riverside Drive (approx. 10 km)

A refreshing drive along the Hongcheongang River. Summer offers rafting and swimming; autumn brings riverside foliage.
