Course Overview
Maisan (686 m) is named for its twin peaks resembling horse ears, the symbol of Jinan. The road circling the mountain offers a pleasant mix of curves and straights through Jeonbuk's deep inland mountain scenery.
This 25 km drive loops from Jinan town around Maisan, including Tapsa Temple with its 80-plus stone pagodas.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Jinan Town to Maisan South Parking (approx. 8 km)
Crossing the Jinan Plateau with the twin peaks of Maisan drawing closer.
Section 2: Maisan South to North Winding (approx. 10 km)
The core winding section circling the mountain, offering views of the peaks from various angles.
Section 3: Maisan North to Jinan Town Return (approx. 7 km)
Returning to Jinan along the clear waters of Geumdang Valley.
