Course Overview
Yangpyeong is Seoul's premier suburban cafe drive destination. The Dumulmuri area, where the Bukhangang and Namhangang rivers meet, is packed with large bakery cafes, riverside view cafes, and forest cafes.
This 22 km drive from Yangpyeong Station tours the cafes around Dumulmuri, Semiwon, and Yangsu-ri.
Section Highlights
Section 1: Yangpyeong Station to Dumulmuri (approx. 8 km)
Dumulmuri is the confluence of the Bukhangang and Namhangang, famous for its morning river mist. Large bakery cafes surround the area.
Section 2: Semiwon to Yangsu-ri Cafe Street (approx. 7 km)
Pass through Semiwon (lotus garden), then explore Yangsu-ri's riverside view cafes.
Section 3: Yangsu-ri to Bukhangang Riverside Cafes (approx. 7 km)
Drive along the Bukhangang discovering forest cafes and garden cafes in various atmospheres.
Driving Tips
- Weekends can have long cafe wait times; weekdays recommended
- Dumulmuri river mist is most beautiful at dawn (around sunrise)
- Yangpyeong's traditional confections and pine nuts are specialties
- Semiwon is best during lotus season (June-August)
